Coronavirus Latest Updates: The total number of Coronavirus positive (Covid-19) cases in India has gone up to 873 even as the country is witnessing a 21-day 'complete lockdown'.
With an aim to help mitigate the needs of poor people, the central government has already announced Rs 1.70 lakh crore financial package. The Reserve Bank of India has also announced a slew of measures to ease the burden of people in the country.
Total number of Coronavirus positive cases has now reached 918, including foreign nationals, 80 people cured/discharged/migrated, 19 deaths, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said in a regular update.The number of confirmed Coronavirus cases crossed six lakhs on Saturday worldwide. Over 28,000 people have been killed due to the infection which has engulfed almost every country across the globe.
Experts have asked people to stay at home, to not venture out on roads unless it’s absolutely necessary and to not believe in rumours, and don’t panic.

Theme park opens drive-through coronavirus testing unit as UK ramps up response
A drive-through coronavirus testing facility for health workers has begun operating in the car park of a popular resort near London, part of a British government drive to ramp up testing for those on the frontline of the epidemic.
The Chessington World of Adventures theme park, which usually hosts families seeking a fun day out, has turned one of its main car parks into a testing unit for National Health Service (NHS) staff, a spokeswoman said on Saturday.
The government, which had been criticised by some doctors and nurses for not providing them with enough protective gear and testing kits, announced on Friday it was introducing a much bigger testing regime for the NHS.

J&K govt spokesperson to interact with media through WhatsApp today
Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary, Planning, Jammu and Kashmir is slated to interact with media persons through WhatsApp at 6 pm on Saturday, Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) said.
Kansal is also the spokesperson of the Jammu and Kashmir government.
This comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier today held a telephonic conversation with a student evacuated from China's Wuhan city and a nurse at the Naidu Hospital in Pune to motivate them to combat COVID-19 outbreak.

Trump invokes Defense Production Act to force auto giant GM to produce ventilators
US President Donald Trump on Friday invoked a wartime law to force "time-wasting" auto giant General Motors to make ventilators to save lives, amid a shortage of the critical medical equipment to deal with the mounting coronavirus cases in America, now the global epicentre.
Trump invoked the Korean War-era Defense Production Act, which allows a president to force companies to make products for national defence.
He said on Friday that "GM was wasting time" on price negotiations and action was needed to save American lives.
