COVID-19 cases surpass 1,000-mark; death toll rises to 27 The number of novel coronavirus cases crossed the 1,000-mark on Sunday after 106 fresh cases were reported in the past 24 hours across the country The death toll rose to 27, according to the Union Health Ministry. The number of active COVID-19 cases stands at 901, while 95 people were either cured or discharged and one had migrated, the ministry stated. Delhi High Court judges to donate Rs 10,000 each to PM-CARES Fund The decision was taken by Chief Justice D N Patel and other judges of the high court, a statement issued by the Registrar General's office said. "It is the need of the hour that this court and the courts subordinate to this court make voluntary donations in the said account (fund).
